Insurance Product Launch Manager for an Insurance Company

Role

You play a key role in leading the product launch team. You will manage and ensure successful delivery of product launches by working closely with the key stakeholders and in accordance to agreed priorities.

Responsibilities

  1. Possess strong knowledge of insurance products, including understanding of benefit illustration, policy contracts, definitions and the entire sales process from point of sale to policy issuance;
  2. Expertise in understanding market trends, regulatory changes/requirements and competitors’ products to stay ahead and be well equipped to respond to distributors’ queries as well as media requests;
  3. Lead the team in formulating compelling product solutions and identification of customer value propositions which resonate well with market demands and opportunities;
  4. Be a strong project manager to ensure that the deliverables within the product development cycle are met within the stipulated timelines;
  5. Develop and/or review product sales tools, product resources and marketing collaterals to support business;
  6. Lead the team to conduct and develop content for product pre-launch and post launch briefing sessions to distributors;
  7. Conduct post launch analysis and review; to engage key stakeholders for development of action plans to ensure new product sales targets are achieved; and
  8. Build your team members capability and performance with coaching, mentorship and conduct regular performance review to ensure career and personal development goals are on track.

Requirements

  1. Degree holder;
  2. Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the life insurance/financial services industry, preferably relating to sales, sales management, business development;
  3. Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience, leading a team of 3 to 5;
  4. Excellent written and spoken communication, effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin;
  5. Experienced in public speaking and possess strong facilitation skills;
  6. Strong analytical mind with a flair for numbers;
  7. Creative and driven individual who is not afraid to think out of the box; and
  8. Decisive, strong project management and problem solving skills.
