IT Service Management Manager a Financial Services Company
Responsibilities
Responsible for executing Information services projects either as a subject matter expert or lead, depending on the structure of projects.
Support user partners in the resolution of technical issues that may arise with the technology through
Triage and then activating other support partners as necessary.
Being the single point of contact for users' technical support to ensure the support activities are managed end-to-end.
Manage or support the daily operations of IT infrastructure/services in a environment where the IT infrastructure and services has been outsourced. The daily activities include but are not restricted to
Improvement of services provided by outsourced partners.
Managing the acceptance of infrastructure or IS operations changes by end user departments.
Management of assets (Hardware and Software) not under the responsibility of the outsourced vendor.
Managing the patching of servers and equipment as part of regular patching or as a result of vulnerability assessment.
Review the use and activities of privileged accounts as a governance role.
Report on the IS operations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information technology.
3 – 5 year experience in IT Service/Infrastructure support or projects.
Experience and willingness to work in a highly regulated Information services environment in a Financial Institution (Insurance).
Strong technical knowledge in the various components of Information Service infrastructure or operations.
Good communication and writing ability is a must.
Good research, analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to link technology with business to provide business capabilities
A self-starter who is willing to use past experiences to learn about new areas.
Good influencing and negotiation skills.
ITIL certifications or training would be an advantage.
