IT PMO for Financial Services Company

Responsibilities

  1. Manage projects from project initiation till closure to successfully achieve the agreed outcome while balancing project constraints;
  2. Understand business needs and propose viable solutions;
  3. Assess the impact of changes and support their implementation;
  4. Analyse and document requirements;
  5. Perform pre-UAT prior to releasing for users;
  6. Participate in test planning and review of users' test evidence;
  7. Support the IT needs / services of users' departments;
  8. Ensure the effective use of IT in supporting business needs;
  9. May need to supervise a small team of development resources to deliver projects or work with vendors;
  10. Any other tasks as assigned by Head of PMO.
  1. Reporting into the Project Management Office (PMO), the following experience will be an added advantage:
  2. Monitoring and development of management reports, analysis, impacts and projections for management
  3. Facilitates regular review of planned and unplanned IT requests with business stakeholders, with follow-ups on prioritization and recommendation activities
  4. Manages and co-ordinates the Master Day 2 items and ensures implementation in a timely manner
  5. Facilitate the conduct of Product Implementation Workgroup, to review and co-ordinate the various implementation of product rollout

Requirements

  1. Diploma/ Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology;
  2. PMP / CITPM will be an advantage.
  3. At least 10 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in leading a project team;
  4. Experience in project management & business analysis;
  5. Relevant domain knowledge (e.g. Life Insurance, Financial Institution) is preferred;
  6. Highly driven and independent;
  7. Excellent analytical, written and communication skills required.
