eLearning Instructional Designer for a Training and Development Company

Responsibilities

  1. Supervise the design and development of e-learning content that consist of an assortment of media types such as video, animation and other instructional technologies.
  2. Function as the overall team lead for the project. Works closely with AD, CapDev, Director, Programme Ops and the Project Managers to oversee the timely and quality delivery of projects by identifying / assigning resources required to fulfil the scope within the schedules and budget provided.
  3. Develop and implement an enhanced Quality Assurance system for all products and services delivered by in-house ID team and external vendors. Perform courseware testing and evaluate courseware based on the approved storyboard.
  4. Raise, Train and Sustain (RTS) ID capabilities for relevant projects with selected vendors through specific initiatives and programmes (by 2Q).
  5. Works closely with AD,CapDev and the pre-sales team to implement pre-sales work.
  6. Maintains awareness of the latest instructional design methodologies and learning technologies, and the potential application in TDSG solutions. Improve instructional design production efficiency for in-house production through the application of new processes and/or technology (by 3Q).
  7. Work with Project Manager (PM) team to define courseware scope (level of interactivity, objective, timeline and etc).
  8. Conduct needs analysis with the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to gather courseware requirements and content. Work with the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to design courseware for effective learning, by providing advice on learning /instructional design for adult learning.
  9. Develop, conceptualize and edit storyboard that will be translated into finished interactive content.
  10. Work closely with Content Developer (CD) team to design and develop engaging interactive courseware for enterprise learning.
  11. Manage teams of vendors and freelancers involved in the design and development of storyboards and courseware.
  12. Monitor, analyse and interpret statistics and other data such as feedback and produce reports on a regular basis to support performance management and business growth.

Requirements

  1. Degree in instructional design, education, psychology, instructional technology or related qualifications. Post-graduate qualification in Education or Instructional Design will be an advantage.
  2. Experience in instructional design and/or training. Relevant experience in L&D roles would also be considered. Able to work closely with clients to understand and analyse training requirements.
  3. Proficient in English, able to convey ideas and requirements verbally and in written form.
  4. Mature and confident in interacting with customers, clients, content developers and third party vendors.
  5. Possesses working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Knowledge of Action Script (Flash), MS Windows-based authoring software (Articulate), multimedia production software and other relevant software tools will be an advantage.
  6. Creative with an eye for details and able to work independently to solve problems. Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required.
